But trust has got to come from somewhere: a source can't just *be trustworthy*. Given the technological convenience, people are tempted to do their own to evaluate that trust, despite varying abilities to do so. And in most cases, they are being manipulated by their tool (eg. SEO), on top of themselves. So how do you research the techniques to do your own research? (And it's true that STEM education might make a big difference from now, but is it enough?)
