Employment is supposed to create real value for the greater society, not just a sprint to the finish line for us to earn money. Be honest with yourself, and do what your feelings guide you to do (within ethical limits), because you can only do better in things you enjoy. And when you do it well enough, happiness (and money) will come naturally.
