However, it is often anger and petulant vulnerability that unites people towards specific goals (for better or worse): we act less about homelessness on the streets (real vulnerability) and more about political discourse (sensationalism towards anger). Such negative reinforcement - for everyone, not just men - will be hard to break.

This one has a somewhat deceptive title, but the gist is true - #employment should not define us, nor should it be our boss. Employment is supposed to create real value for the greater society, not just a sprint to the finish line for us to earn money. Be honest with yourself, and do what your feelings guide you to do (within ethical limits), because you can only do better in things you enjoy. And when you do it well enough, happiness (and money) will come naturally.
