We need #empathy. The empathy to encourage people to build back better, not the antagonization that puts out the spark for positive change. The empathy to understand people's backgrounds, not the bat that forces them to pull up their bootstraps. The #pandemic will simply never end if all sides maintain their radical protectionism towards their respective outgroups.

Similarly, we need #empathy for substance #addiction, the social #pandemic. People must be given a chance for positive change instead of being slammed with the hammer of "justice." Top-down models almost always result in abuse, so why haven't we changed our ways and means?
