While many do get a kick from long-distance driving trips, it is certainly not something to be imposed on all. Promoting #driving as a virtue gets us nowhere (literally): the lack of good public #transportation has made free movement less free due to the cognital and monetary costs of driving. Also, driving is not a "tonic for anxiety" from a out-of-control society, it is a burden assigned by that society.
