"I reverse engineered McDonald's internal ordering API and I'm currently placing an order for a McSundae every minute at every McDonald's location in the US to figure out which ones have a broken ice cream machine."

@fribbledom i was told that the mcdonalds ice cream machine doesnt actually break

it is just a pain in the ass to clean

some employees just claim it was broken so they wont have to clean it

@eichkat3r @fribbledom in the US their ice cream machines run a hot cycle regularly to re-pasteurize the milk and it's easier to say it's broken than to explain the real reason. Source: youtu.be/E0ZxgI59_Ak

@eichkat3r @fribbledom they usually say "is down" or "isn't working" where I'm at, and yeah it's like a multi-hour process apparently, and if you don't do it 100% it'll throw cryptic error messages and refuse to work, necessitating yet another rebuild. Very popular for the late shift to just "clean it" and leave it for the morning shift.
